Current Status:
E2 continues to work with California and other states on enhancements to the Clean Fuel Standards.
Milestones:
Dec 13, 2012 - The Oregon Environmental Commission voted to adopt changes to the Clean Fuels Program. Reporting and monitoring will begin in 2013. Next, the Oregon legislature will vote to remove the 2015 sunset. Jul 19, 2012 - The National Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Project released two major reports that explain its findings from the past several years of research. Apr 23, 2012 - California's LCFS is back on track after the Ninth Circuit granted the ARB's motion for a stay of the injunction while it continues to consider ARB's appeal of the lower court's decision. Dec 16, 2011 - California Air Resources Board reviewed and enhanced the Low Carbon Fuel Standard. Sep 2, 2011 - The Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region has released its economic analysis for a regional Clean Fuels Standard. Dec 21, 2010 - Oregon Dept of Environmental Quality announces regulatory recommendations Apr 23, 2009 - California's Air Resources Board adopts its LCFS regulations, which begin taking effect in 2011. Apr 23, 2008 - The Massachusetts Advanced Biofuels Task Force issues a report about, and the state's governor and legislative leaders announce support for, a low-carbon fuel standard. Jan 18, 2007 - California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issues an executive order calling for a LCFS that reduces the carbon intensity of the state's transportation fuels at least 10% by 2020. |
