Current Status:
Governor Paterson signed New York's e-waste recycling bill into law in late May 2010. Milestones:
Jun 3, 2009 - Governor Patterson introduces an electronic recycling bill with weaker performance standards than what's pending in the legislature and NYC's law. May 5, 2009 - Assembly passes A. 7571 (Sweeney). Apr 27, 2009 - S.5401 (Thompson) is referred to the Senate's Environmental Conservation Committee. Apr 15, 2008 - A. 8444-b (Sweeney) passes the Assembly. Apr 14, 2008 - S.7563 (Marcellino) is referred to the Senate's Environmental Conservation Committee, where it stalled and was never voted on. |
